Q: Are your products natural?

A: Yes. All of our products are formulated using only therapeutic-grade essential oils, natural Indian Ayurvedic oils, and all-natural ingredients that are sustainably sourced. We aim to create each of our products with ingredients that are good for you and good for the environment. 

Q: What’s the difference between your Blue Label and Black Label cologne lines?

A: Our Black Label cologne line are scents inspired by notes of the West such as oudh, spices, sandalwood, and more. Our Blue Label cologne line are scents inspired by notes of the East such as blood orange, amber, cedarwood, and more.

Q: How do I apply Root and Muddle solid cologne?

A: Simply swipe, swirl, or scoop your finger across the surface and apply desired amount to neck, wrists, and/or behind the ears. Our solid colognes are designed to last throughout the day.

Q: How long does shipping take?

A: Domestic and International orders take up to 48 hours to process. We offer USPS First Class Mail (Domestic), which takes 2-5 days (not including Sunday) for U.S. deliveries. International orders take 1-14 days for delivery, once inspection is passed.

Q: Why use solid cologne instead of spray cologne?

A: Liquid colognes are usually alcohol based, which means they evaporate quickly and the scent doesn't last very long. Solid colognes, on the other hand, are butter and wax based. This means that the scent matures throughout the day and lasts longer than a spray. Because our solid colognes are in a 1/2 oz tin, you can carry it in your bag while you travel (TSA approved) or in your pocket throughout the day if you feel the need to reapply.  

Q: Do you test on animals?

A: No way! We sample test each of our formulas on a test group of our local cosmetic formulators and enthusiasts--all homo sapiens.

Q: What is the shelf life of Root & Muddle products?

A: All of our products have a recommended shelf life of 1 year.
